Hello, my name is Helen Homer, I am an independent female driving instructor licensed by the DVSA to give driving instruction.

I offer manual driving lessons and cover the south of York, including but not exclusive to Fulford, Heworth, Tang Hall , Bishopthorpe, Copmanthorpe, Naburn ,Heslington, Deighton, Escrick and Wheldrake.

I qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor in 2022, so I am up to date with all the latest teaching methods, and I pride myself on being a calm and patient instructor, adapting the lessons to suit each pupil’s needs. I originally worked in the retail sector and have worked with a huge variety of people of all ages and backgrounds in both training , development and coaching. 

I also have three teenage children , two who have passed their practical driving tests and another about to start her driving journey .
